Dr. Monika Patel
We are pleased to offer our patients the expertise of our oral surgeon, Dr. Monika Patel. Dr. Patel is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. She earned her dental degree at the NYU College of Dentistry in an accelerated program.
Dr. Patel trained as a surgeon at Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Stony Brook University. She offers patients the full scope of oral surgeries and remains up-to-date on the latest procedures through conferences and continuing education throughout the year.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are specially trained to treat diseases, defects, and injuries of the head, neck, face, and jaw. Using surgical procedures, they treat conditions that affect the teeth, bones, and soft tissues. Oral surgeons complete dental school and several years of residency with specialty training.
There are many reasons patients need oral surgery. Your dentist can refer you to our surgeon if they believe you could benefit from a procedure. An oral surgeon will evaluate your condition or injury, diagnose the underlying cause of symptoms, and suggest procedures that will correct the issue and help you feel better again.
Ongoing dental pain is a common reason to see an oral surgeon. Young adults with wisdom teeth coming in that are causing discomfort can benefit from seeing a surgeon. Newtown Dentistry is currently referring current patients to our Oral surgeon if they need their wisdom teeth extracted.
We hope you’ll choose Newtown Dentistry if you need to see an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Our complete dental home is a perfect spot for both adults and children to receive the full spectrum of oral health care, from regular checkups and cleanings to complex surgical procedures.
Newtown Dentistry invests in the latest technologies and uses the most innovative dental and surgical equipment and techniques to ensure patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes.
