Find out why people all over Bucks County and beyond are choosing Newtown Dentistry as their home for routine dental care.
Routine Dental Care the Newtown Dentistry Way
At Newtown, we describe routine dental care as an experience—not simply a check-up and cleaning. Starting with walking into a bright, lively, and inviting hometown atmosphere, we want all our family members to feel as comfortable as possible.
We offer adult dental care that works for everyone, no matter your lifestyle. Busy parents can save time by having their cleanings done the same day as their kids. Young professionals can work or scroll through social media from our peaceful park waiting area, and everyone has access to our free WiFi.
Kids’ dental care offers an oasis for both young patients and their parents. In addition to getting to climb a giant treehouse, children are shown (not told)—how they can be the hero of their own oral health—by being “dentist for a day.” They are assigned one of our resident puppets to practice their hand at dental treatments, before receiving theirs.
No matter what age or stage of life you happen to be in, our dental checkups and cleanings are comprehensive, and include the following elements:
Adult Dental Care
- Getting to Know Your Dentist
Your dentist is not only here to provide you with high-quality dental services—at Newtown, we want to get to know you. We want to know what makes you feel more comfortable and happy (in and out of the dentist’s chair). Ask questions, share your thoughts, and help us build a relationship with you.
- Receiving a Thorough Examination and Cleaning
Your dentist may take digital and/or 3D panoramic X-rays of your teeth. This will help provide an in-depth view of any dental problems and enable your dentist to create a personalized dental care plan.
Cavity detection is just as important for adults as it is for children. Dr. Shelly and Dr. Nuri provide cancer screenings and utilize the SoproLIFE camera or CariScreen meter to evaluate the risk of developing cavities for every patient .
Based on your specific needs, your dentist will provide an individualized cleaning session, designed for best oral hygiene and overall health outcomes.
- Reaping the Rewards of Responsibility
You did it! Despite the endless hours of work, activities, and life’s demands you made time for your routine dental visit. You completed your exam and cleaning. Now, you should (and will) be rewarded. Choose from a number of rewards such as champagne, headphones, and more!
Additionally, our patients can earn points as part of our dental rewards program. Social media engagement, survey participation, and other activities will have you racking up reward points toward some very exciting prizes.
Kids’ Dental Care
- Having an Opportunity to be “Dentist for a Day”
Your child can learn the ropes of brushing and flossing and provide a dental exam and cleaning for a Newtown Dentistry resident puppet!
- Getting to Know Your Dentist
You and your child have a meet and greet with Dr. Chris, which includes asking questions, sharing concerns, and building a relationship (be sure to ask her about her favorite Disney character)!
- Receiving a Thorough Examination and Cleaning
To help ensure best oral health outcomes, Dr. Chris may have digital X-rays taken of your children’s teeth. This safe and effective process helps Dr. Chris ensure that your child’s teeth are developing properly and help preemptively correct any issues.
We also have two innovative cavity-detection methods: The SoproLIFE camera that utilizes LED to emit a harmless blue light to detect the presence of dental caries. And, the CariScreen meter: a device that uses a simple plaque swab to determine your child’s risk of developing cavities.
After a full examination and cleaning, your child receives a fluoride application. We offer silver diamine fluoride, shown to halt the development of cavities in 70 to 90 percent of treated teeth!
Your child did it! And, the hard work of being dentist for a day, receiving an examination and cleaning, and learning all about the best brushing and flossing techniques deserves a prize! And our treasure box is full of games and items that are quality prizes to be treasured for longer than a day.
